As the title indicates, the image can be interpreted as something inspired from a dream or a nightmare in a deep R.E.M. sleep state. I depicted a different kind of world, where I use symbolic representations for a variety of inner fears and worries. One can also interpret the image as an apocalyptic world, a doomsday.

The entire surface of the image has an uneven texture. It is very rudimentary, gives the impression it is not worked on, because it looks coarse and rough. It is designed to create a feeling of displeasure and awkwardness when one looks at the image.
