This is the book cover I've done for Alexandrina D. Rusu. Her book, titled "Synthesis and Catalytic Applications of Carbene-Functionalized Hybrid Catalysts", is a Ph.D. thesis in the field of organometallic chemistry, dealing with metal-based catalysts bearing ligands as N-heterocyclic carbenes, with an application for cross-coupling reactions. Due to the very technical nature of the thesis, the book cover is abstract imagery based on scientific imagery in chemistry and other related fields, showing atoms and matter at microscopic scale.
